How to store silicon carbide graphite crucibles better? There are many types and specifications of crucibles, which are not limited by production scale, batch size, or the type of molten material. Can be freely selected, with strong applicability, ensuring the purity of molten materials.


Precautions for using crucibles:


1. After use, please place it in a dry place to avoid rain; Slowly bake it to 500 ℃ before use.


2. Materials should be added according to the capacity of the crucible. Do not squeeze too tightly to prevent metal thermal expansion and cracking of the crucible.


3. When removing molten metal, use a spoon to remove it and minimize the use of calipers. If using tools such as calipers, the shape of the crucible should be consistent to avoid excessive local stress and shorten its service life.


The service life of the crucible is related to its purpose. Avoid spraying strong oxidizing flames directly onto the crucible, as this will shorten the service life of the raw materials.


Handling of crucibles


In order to better protect the glaze layer of the crucible, it is necessary to be very careful when handling the crucible. We need to handle it carefully to avoid collisions, impacts, or falls. We should not roll the crucible horizontally on the ground for transportation. Once the glaze layer of the crucible is damaged, it will lead to oxidation and aging of the crucible. Careful handling of the crucible should be carried out using a padded handcart (or other suitable handling tool).


Storage crucible


1. The crucible needs to be stored in a dry environment, placed on a wooden pallet, and kept well ventilated.

3. Remember not to expose the crucible to a damp environment, otherwise during the preheating process of the crucible, the glaze layer of the crucible will easily peel off after absorbing water, thereby reducing the melting efficiency and service life of the crucible. In severe cases, even the bottom of the crucible will fall off.
